I'm a 14-year-old student with an interest in geography and the UK. I decided to create a podcast series about the 48 English ceremonial counties for the skills section of my Duke of Edinburgh silver award. Each week I cover one county and write, edit and publish a podcast about that county.

 

I began on January 2nd 2021 and each Saturday a new podcast episode is released. I am doing this in alphabetical corder staring with Bedfordshire and finishing with my home county: Worcestershire.

I upload transcripts, maps of the counties and information I didn’t have room for in the podcast. Most weeks I use information from Matthew Engel’s excellent book: ‘Engel’s England’ (Profile Books, 2014).
